Frontiers Workshop

This is an optional add-on workshop for students who are taking our Frontiers in Writing classes. Limited seats available.

Mondays @ 9:45-10:15am CST

1st semester September 8th-December 1st; no class on 10/13.

2nd semester January 5th-March 23rd.

After purchasing this class, you will receive downloadable instructions via email.

Required materials:

• All materials required for the core class.
• An internal or external mic. Students must be willing to speak aloud during these classes.

Students will complete their homework to the best of their ability before coming to class. In our live workshops, we will review submitted papers and reteach difficult concepts. We will edit student papers together during the workshop, so students will have minimal editing to finish after the workshop, if any. Observant students will learn from each other's questions and examples. :) Students who miss class or submit a late paper can self-grade with the video, or a parent can grade. Alternatively, they may set up a short private lesson that week (if a team member has an opening in their schedule).

All assignments must be typed, either by the student or a parent. Parents are responsible for editing rough drafts for spelling and punctuation; final grades are based solely on the student's completion of the checklist.

Online classes meet via Zoom. Students must attend from a laptop or computer (no tablets).

No refunds unless the class is canceled. If a student is unable to complete the class for some reason, they will still have access to the weekly videos. :)
