This class is for humble seekers of the Truth. It is facilitated by a Torah-observant Christian, who believes that Yeshua's blood covers all sin and is the only way to salvation. This 10-week session will cover the book of Deuteronomy You do not have to be a Torah-observant Christian to join our class, but you must be respectful of the views presented. :)
All families must own a copy of Foundations of Torah, by Anne Elliott. I suggest the parent-teacher edition for adults, but you may also purchase some of the journals for use with your own children at home, if desired. You can also find a full course description on the Foundations of Torah webpage. :)
Attendees will read the entire book of Deuteronomy over the course of 10 weeks. We will meet once a week for discussion and fellowship.
Before coming to the very first class, attendees should read Deuteronomy 1:1-3:22. While not required, it would be beneficial to jot down any ideas or questions you have in order to get the most out of the class. There is no guarantee that anyone in the class will have an immediate answer for you, but we will help you pray about it and offer possible interpretations if we know of one or can come up with one.
Online classes meet via Zoom.
No refunds unless the class is canceled. If a student is unable to complete the class for some reason, they will still have access to the weekly videos. :)
Testimonial:
Thank you, Amy, for hosting us and guiding us through another wonderful study of God's Word. I really appreciate this class/group so much, and I've learned so much! Amy, you have a beautiful way about you -- you testify of what you believe and why you believe it and how it has blessed you to walk out those beliefs, but you still leave ample room for others to ask, share, and chew on the Word for themselves. You give us the freedom we need to ask questions that are "untouchable" within the larger, mainstream Body of believers so that we can test things without reproach or condemnation. We can speak freely and throw out little ideas that might be poking at us but we don't feel safe in any other forum to even put that idea/topic out there. Because of that freedom, we can learn and grow and mature in our faith. You're a gifted facilitator ❤️, and we appreciate you. 😊😊😊
